Physicians Assistant

Why do you work in this field? I work in the field of addiction because I love this population and its very rewarding to see people turn their lives around and be free of drugs and alcohol.

How long have you worked in this field? I have worked in this field for about 7 years. I bring experience working with addicts in various settings to include detox facilities and homes, rehabs and clinics. I have worked with vivitrol, suboxone, methadone and other detox medications in treating acute and chronic addictions to etoh and drugs.

What are your ‘Super Powers’? I believe some of my super powers would be time management and the capability and empathy to work with a broad range of patients and clients at various stages of recovery.

What do you love about yourself? I love my life and my outlook on it. I believe anything is possible if there is a will there is a way.

What’s your favorite positive quote? I have several favorite sayings; “people helping people”, Vince Vaughn said that in the wedding crashers movie, which I loved. I like catchy phrases; I.E. “team work makes the dream work”, “turn those scars into stars”, “hugs not slugs” and “drop the drama mama”.

What words best describe you? Words that best describe me would be energetic and caring.

Positive things you like to do? I like to hang out with my dogs, watch my son play baseball and love a good cup of coffee

What do you like best about your job? I love my job, surrounded by people that are growing, reaching, learning and lifting each other up, my kind of work environment!

What’s the greatest thing you ever did? Greatest thing I’ve ever done was having my two amazing son’s, Luke and Logan. They are what I live for and grateful for them.

Who are your ‘mentors’? I have many mentors and people I’ve served with in the military that had something or taught me something I wanted in my life, not one real mentor to speak of.

What is something you think everybody deserves to have? I think everybody deserves to have a second chance. There are a few things that I either read about or was told about several years ago that people should have in their lives. 1. To have love in your life, family, spouse, kids, friends—some type of love! 2. To have purpose in our lives 3. A goal for school, work, personal or whatever. 4. Something to look forward to, like an upcoming outing, vacation, concert, date, whatever something to look forward to!

How do you see yourself? I see myself healthy, wealthy, successful and beautiful. (wealthy and beautiful not in the sense of money and looks)
